#2.	How to take Data Backup from Saral PayPack \| Restore the Data from a backup File [Applicable for MS-Access backend Only]
Backup: In Saral PayPack backing up of Saral PayPack file (.RSP) is possible, not only on the floppy drive, but also on any of the fixed (Hard Disk) or removable (A: B:) etc., provided write permissions are there. Note:(These features work only if you set MS-Access as your back end) To run backup: On the Utility menu, click Backup to display dialog box: In Backup File Name field, type the path or click to browse to the directory where your files are there, then click to select. In Target File Location field, type the path or click to select the destination. Click "BACKUP" button to start backup. Click "CLOSE" button to close the dialog box. Note: Backing up is a process where the .RSP file is zipped and renamed with extension .RSB. Backing up can be used to e-transfer the file to some other location. . RSB (Relyon Saral PayPack backup file) can only be restored using Saral PayPack. Regular backups ensures data insurance. Restore: In Saral PayPack restoring .RSB (Relyon Saral PayPack Backup File) is possible, not only from floppy drive, but also from any of the fixed (Hard Disk) or removable (A:, B:) etc. To restore backup: On the Utility menu, click Restore to display dialog box: In Target File Location field, type the path or click to browse to the directory where your files are there, then click to select. In Source File Location field, type the path or click to select the destination. Click "RESTORE" button to restore data. Click "CLOSE" button to close the dialog box. Note: Restoring up is a process where the .RSB file is unzipped and extracted with extension .RSP. Restoring any file from backup will overwrite any existing .RSB file with a prompt. Bulk Backup: In Saral PayPack, backing up of one or more selected Saral PayPack file (.RSP) stored in data directory is possible, not only on the floppy drive, but also on any of the fixed (Hard Disk) or removable (A: B:) etc., provided write permissions are there. Note:(These features work only if you set MS-Access as your back end) To take backup: On the Utility menu, click Backup to display dialog box: Click to select the files, then click "NEXT" button to display dialog box: In Select path for backup field, type the path or click to select path. In Backup Filename field, type a filename for your backup file. Click "FINISH" button to finish the backup. Click "CLOSE" button to close the dialog box.
#3.	How to register Saral PayPack.
You can run Saral PayPack with all the features on a trial basis for 25 times. Once the trials are over, you have to register with Soft Key or hardware lock to run software. Here, you can select Advanced or Standard options, if you select Advanced option you will have more features. You can register Saral PayPack with two options: Soft Key Registration or Hardware lock Registration. In Soft key Registration, you will be provided with soft key whereas, in Hardware lock registration, you will be provided with hardware lock which you can fix it to your system. To register Saral PayPack package with Soft key Registration: On the Registration menu, click Registration display dialog box: In Soft key Registration, you have three options: Single User or Multi-user Server or Multi-user Client. Soft key Registration with Single user option When you select Soft key Registration with Single User option, enter mandatory (Red colored labels are mandatory fields) as well as optional fields. Now, in Name field, enter the company name(mandatory). In Contact Person field, enter the contact person name(optional). In Place field, enter the place name(mandatory). In Phone field, enter the phone no.(mandatory). In Email field, enter the email id(optional). In Scratch No. field, enter the scratch no. which you got from Relyon Softech Ltd(mandatory) When you enter above details, the system enables SAVE, MAIL, and E-MAIL buttons. Click “SAVE” button to save entries. Click “MAIL” button to take printout and send these details through courier to Relyon Softech Ltd. OR Click “E-MAIL” button to send these details thorough email. When you mail or email the details, you are actually sending Computer Id and Computer Sign to Relyon Softech Ltd. Observe the computer id and computer sign in their respective fields. Relyon Softech Ltd will send you the Soft Key no. enter the soft key no. in the Soft Key field, the system enables REGISTER button. Click “REGISTER” button to register Saral PayPack(as shown in Figure 10‑1) Soft key Registration with Multi-user Server option When you select Soft key Registration with Multi-user Server option, enter mandatory (Red colored labels are mandatory fields) as well as optional fields. Follow steps 4 through 16 to register the software but, here, only computer id will change. Soft key Registration with Multi-user Client option When you select Soft key Registration with Multi-user Client option, when you select this option, the system enables CLIENT REG button. Click “CLIENT REG” button to display dialog box: Click to browse to the server path or type the path in the field. Click “REGISTER” button to register software on the client system, but if you want to enter steps 4 through 16, you can enter. Hardware lock Registration Relyon Softech Ltd will give you Hardware lock which you can fix it to your system and here you don’t require Soft key. To register Saral PayPack package with Hardware lock Registration: On the Registration menu, click Registration display dialog box: Hardware lock Registration with Single user or Multi-user Server option When you select Hardware lock Registration with Single User or Multi-user Server option, enter mandatory (Red colored labels are mandatory fields) as well as optional fields. Follow steps 4 through 14, here, Scratch No. is not mandatory and you don’t have to enter Soft key, get the Hardware lock from Relyon Softech Ltd, fix hardware lock. Click “REGISTER” button to register software. Hardware lock Registration with Multi-user Client option Follow steps 19 through 22 to register software on the client system. Note: Even after running registered version, you can change single user license to multi user license and vice versa by selecting Registration from the Menu.
#4.	How to take backup from Saral PayPack for other databases, namely MS-SQL, MYSQL and/or Oracle
This utility is called as same as the utility for backing up the access database. In screen just select the RSP file and the destination file in which you backup should reside. Then just click backup button in the screen. Then you will see the screen with the progress bar, which will show you the status of the backup. Important thing here is to note that, this utility will automatically takes the server name, username, password and the database name form the RSP file which you have selected. This screen was captured taken while taking backup for the MySQL database. In Similar way you will get. Restore First you have to login to the server where you want to restore the database. Specify the server name, username, password and type of database then click ok it will save the details for connecting to the server. Then you will get the following screen here just select the backup file and it will restore it. In the case of oracle you have to specify the name of the database also which will be used as name space. Here if you want to make changes in the login settings then once again click login settings button and set the username and password once again. After that, click restore and it will show the status and progress once again while restoring. In the case of oracle you will get one log file which containing the status of import.
#5.	How to configure Saral PayPack for sending Payslips through email.
Relyon's Email PaySlips utility (SPPEmailPay) Through Mail Server (Smtp server) SMTP Mail Connection Settings When mails are sent through mail server following settings has to be done in the settings screen SMTP Server: Through which the mail will go SMTP Port: Port on which the customer is sending POP3 Server: It is required if it necessary to do POP3 Authentication while sending the mails POP3 Port: It is required if it necessary to do POP3 Authentication while sending the mails Username: Username for login to the mail server Password: Password for login From Name: From name which will be sent in the mail in place of the sender name From Address: From name which will be sent in the mail in place of the sender email address SMTP Authentication: Check if the server wants SMTP Authentication POP Authentication: check If it is required for sending mails Use SSL: Not available in this version still to be implemented Now save the settings and click next button it will show the following screen. In this screen specify the message and the subject, which you want to send to the employee. Also you have options to select whether to send mail in HTML format or PLAIN TEXT format. You can also add tags in the mail which can be automatically replaced by the respective value. For example we have used @@EMPNAME@@ in the following screen, which will replace that with employee name every time. Also if you want to send PaySlip with in the mail body only then first select the format as HTML in the very first screen and then in the mail body type the tag or insert the tag @@PAYSLIPS@@ at the required position. It will be replaced by the exported HTML payslip. You can also save the message (Mail Body) and it will be loaded always and you can modify it whenever required and send it SMTP Mail's Message screen Then click send mails to send the mails to the employee. Which is show in above figure. It will also show the status and state of each step while connecting to the server. It can be helpful to not this step in order to understand the problem if any exists. In most of the cases (Almost 95%) it is not required you can directly press the login button and go to the next screen. Else if any error is coming then try with profile name and then with email name Default mail client login screen Then specify the message and the subject in the next screen and click next to send the mails and the next procedure as same as in the first option Specify Message for the mail MS Outlook Sending mail through MS Outlook is very simple just select that option and press next then it will show you the message screen. Type the subject and the message (Mail body) and then click send then it will send all the mails through outlook. After sending the mail it will display the result screen as same as it will show in other mail options. Remember result screen is common feature in all the mail options. Note: - It will use the default outlook account of the same system where it being is used Mails Through Exchange Server In this option only the settings get changed. Select the ‘Exchange Server’ option and got the settings screen Settings screen for sending mails through exchange server Settings are to be done in following manner SMTPServer: Name of the machine (server) or the IP Address of that machine where exchange server is installed From Name: Specify the name of the sender From Address: Specify the email address of the sender Send Using SMTP: check it (in almost all of the cases it is required) Use SSL: Check if exchange server runs on SSL layer Further Steps are as same as the previous’ options. Just type the message and send the mail Note: If it is giving error like “ActiveX object can’t be created” on the machine where exchange server is not installed, then try to use it on the machine where it is installed.
#6.	How to restore the Customization file received from Relyon.
When you receive a customization file, you need to just paste it in Saral PayPack application folder [installed directory] or any specified directory [if any]. Here are the Steps, which are involved to achieve the same. Right click on the icon of Saral Paypack on your desktop. Click on properties. Click on “Shortcut” tab. Click on “Find target” tab. This opens the application directory of Saral PayPack you can paste the customization exe in this directory. Please remember to keep backup of these customization files in case of version changes or any case arising.
