Saral PayPack - Version 2.15 Release Notes

 
     

Version 2.15 of Saral PayPack software has been released on 31st October 2006. The release notes are provided here for the reference.

Features

  1. Option Settings Changes.
    • Option “In PF Form 5 print previous month data”, included in Option Settings>General Options section, so that option can be specified independently for Form 5 and From 10 separately.
    • Option “Export Salary” removed from Option Settings>Features section.
    • An option “Calculate every month component in Formula” is provided in Option Settings>Features section, by selecting which monthly components can be included in Formula/Expression.
  2. TDS Changes
    • Options provided in Additional Earning/Deduction screen to capture TDS reference and section specified in this screen will automatically consider in respective sections of Saral TDS Institutional.
    • Additional Deductions can be linked to different sections of Chapter 6A details of Saral TDS Institutional.
    • Yearly Estimated TDS amount is further processed to arrive monthly TDS amount, which are stored separately and shown in respective month’s TDS field.
  3. PT Related Changes
    • Location wise PT calculation concept is removed and henceforth Location field will not be prompted anywhere for entry.
    • PT Group Master Screen is enhanced to capture more information like “Return Period” and a flag to set Editing options on calculated PT values. Return Period will be taken automatically for known states.
    • Location Wise PT Rate entry is replaced PT Group and PT Rate Editor is made independent of PT Group Master. More precisely, PT Rates should be defined monthly even though return type is Yearly/Half Yearly.
    • Yearly/Half Yearly PT slabs can be defined from PT Group Master Screen. Half Year Slab can be defined on April and October months, Yearly Slab can be defined once in April.
    • Bonus Rate Editor Screen incorporated in PT Group Master Screen where bonus rate can be defined for financial year in PT group level. Bonus rate Defined is considered for PT calculation for every month.
    • PT Related Entry fields are moved from Company Master screen, which will be handled in PT group Master screen.
    • Calculated PT values shown in Monthly Salary Editor>Entry section for Editing.
    • PT Supplementary Screen included in Reports>Statutory Reports Menu which shows PT contributions amounts from Bonus, Ex-Gratia and Arrears. PT Supplementary amounts will not automatically considered anywhere in Salary calculation.
  4. Employee Master Changes.
    • Date of Leaving cannot be deleted if Gratuity details entered in Gratuity module..
    • If TDS applicability is reset in Employee Master, Salary is recalculated and manually entered TDS values cleared from Salary Editor.
  5. Standing Instruction Changes.
    • Loan, Insurance, Group Insurance, SSS, Periodic Incentive Modules are linked to Saral TDS Institutional and data gets transferred to respective TDS reference as configured.
    • For loans, House Loan option has been given to port data to Income from House Property in TDS
    • For Insurance, Group Insurance and SSS, Chapter VI (A) sections are given for porting the data to TDS.
    • For periodic incentive, the TDS is applicable is considered under others.
  6. Bonus and Ex-gratia Changes.
    • TDS applicability on Bonus, Exgratia is included under others.
  7. Arrears Changes
    • PT Applicability on Arrears is included for all types of Arrears, with salary consideration options “As Salary Component” and “Independent Of Salary”.
  8. Gratuity Changes.
    • Parameters included in Gratuity screen, to specify taxable gratuity amount and exemptions on gratuity.
  1. TDS Related Changes
    • While estimating TDS all linked month specific components are Bonus, Exgratia, Arrears are linked to respective sections.
    • Change in Salary extrapolation method, Month specific heads will not considered for salary extrapolation.
    • Changes in TDS estimation and porting, all linked records from SaralPaypack modules will automatically ported respective sections and chapters of TDS.
  2. Import/Export Changes
    • Employee Master Import/Export template is included with two columns “ESI Applicable” and “PF Applicable”.
    • Dynamic importing of Salary details incorporated with template “Salary Details” where columns are configurable to SaralPaypack Salary components.
    • Day-to-Day hourly Importing changed for importing with leave entry and number of hours entry together.
    • Changes made in Attendance Importing that is in Previous import module for Full day absent user have to specify CL, FDA but now the user have to specify only CL and default leaves are given as drop downs.
  3. Reports and Utilities
    • Flat Salary Sheet (Quick Reports) screen is added with Grouping options.
    • PT Reports- Options provided to handle periodicity of reports like Half Yearly, Yearly. PT Reports categorized as “Statutory Reports” and “Detailed Reports”.
  4. Month Creation and Deletion
    • Previous month Creation is made possible in Create New Month screen, with set of options for Salary Rate, PF/ESI rate, PT Rate updates.
    • Data porting to previous month is implemented with two options, creating a copy of data and change date.
    • Create Previous Month Menu item added in Tools menu for creating previous month exclusively.
    • Month Deletion restricted only from Front or rear end, More precisely months cannot be deleted from middle either it should be in series from first month or last month.
