Saral PayPack - Version 2.20 Release Notes

Version 2.20 of Saral PayPack software has been released on 18^th November 2006. The release notes are provided here for the reference.

1. New features included
   • Medical Reimbursement
   • Leave Travel Allowance
   • Import/Export of monthly Salary rate details.
   • Mark a Salary head as "Reimbursement" incorporated (So that it will show up separately in pay-slip)
2. Option Settings Changes - New options have been given and re-arranged the other options.
   • Caption to display for "Ref. No." (Similar to Emp. ID) [Displays the set Ref. No. caption in Other screens]
   • Theoretical Salary [Needed if - Gratuity has to be calculate on theoretical salary] [Note: On activating this option for the first time -theoretical salary of all the months created  in PayPack will be calculated]
   • Salary calculation in mid of the month [for e.g.: Calculate apr/2006 salary from 25th March 2006 to 24th April 2006]. [Note: On activating this option for the first time - All the months created in PayPack will be   configured from 1st of the month to last day of  the month].
   • LTA (Leave Travel Allowance)
   • Medical Reimbursement
3. Salary calculation in mid of the month changes (if opted).
   • Salary date setting - New screen provided to configure For Every month - Start and End date for salary calculation (User can also configure this for future months also).
   • New month creation - On selecting a new month for creation Start and End date for calculation has to be configured (It will be pre-filled with the already configured details).
   • Previous Month Creation - Start and End date for calculation has to be configured (End date will be pre-filled with the Next month start date–1 ).
   • Salary Calculation - depending on the Date configured for the month NOD, NDP and NWD is calculated.
   • In Attendance Module - For day-to-day attendance and Monthly attendance screen NOD/NDP is calculated depending on the salary calculation dates set.
4. Theoretical Salary Changes (if opted)
   • On Activation calculates theoretical salary for all employee – all months created (When Gratuity menu is selected).
   • On Month creation/ employee creation/ salary rate/ General Holiday/ Weekly holiday settings changes -> theoretical salary recalculation is set
   • Theoretical salary based Gratuity calculation included.
5. Salary Editor
   • Two more earnings components added Medical Reimbursement And LTA, that will be shown depending on its activation in option setting
   • On Right click provides a option to filter the salary details on x % of net salary w.r.t Gross salary [i.e. for e.g.: Displays only employee whose net salary (take home) is less than 25% of Gross salary]
6. TDS Related Changes
   • Salary Components mentioned as ‘Every Month’ and ‘External Head’ will not be    extrapolated. They will be treated as ‘Month Specific’ salary components.
   • Since TDS is applicable on Leave en-cashed amounts, Leave encashment details are linked to TDS.
   • Medical reimbursement and LTA are linked to TDS. Both the components are treated under the head ‘Other Allowances’ in Institutional.
7. Reports
• New Flat Salary Sheet in Excel provided Where in All components are displayed as it is (not restricted to just 5 components).
8. Designation/Department/Grade/Occupation/Division Master
• Screen Enhanced and Standardized.
9. New Registration incorporated.
• This calls for registration once again, in those computers where it is registered via Soft-Key.
10. Features removed.
• Tally Export
11. New Background is set
